Vertical lathe is the spindle perpendicular to the table, moving up and down along the vertical direction to facilitate the processing of workpieces of greater height, to avoid the workpiece bypassing the bed and unnecessary action on the table. Vertical lathe has single-column type and double-column type. Small and medium-sized vertical lathes are mostly of single-column type, while large vertical lathes are mainly of double-column type with two vertical tool holders. The workpiece is clamped on the worktable of the vertical lathe, and the main movement of the workpiece rotation is driven by the worktable, and the feeding movement is realized by the vertical tool holder and the side tool holder, both of which can be fed vertically and horizontally along the corresponding guideway.
