Features

The 5-axis vertical machining centers VMU series have three linear axes X, Y and Z with a maximum rapid traverse speed of 60 m/min. The rotary table is available with mechanical drive or direct drive with torque motor. The spindle can be equipped with direct spindle or electric spindle, and the tool magazine capacity is 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 for choice. The machine is characterized by fast response, high machining efficiency, smooth chip removal and high cost performance.

• High rigidity: The machine base, crossbeam, slide plate, spindle box, rotary table and other basic parts are all made of high-strength cast iron, which is stable in organization and permanently ensures the quality. The casting structures are all analyzed by machine tool dynamics and finite element analysis. The high rigidity box structure at any point of the main body and the appropriate configuration of the corner reinforcement (triangular reinforcement structure) ensure the high rigidity of the base parts.
• High speed: The maximum speed of HSK-A63 direct-connected spindle is up to 12,000r/min. The maximum speed of HSK-A63 electric spindle is up to 15,000r/min. The maximum speed of X, Y, Z coordinate rapid traverse is up to 60m/min.
• High precision: X, Y, Z three-way feeding are supported by linear roller guideway, with high-precision ball screws, the rotary axis can be configured with backlash-free worm gear drive mechanism to achieve high torque, and can also be configured with torque motor direct drive to achieve high speed, the Y-direction adopts the center-of-gravity drive structure, which makes the crossbeam run more smoothly, and the ball screw is configured with a special drive bearing, which ensures the machine’s positioning accuracy and repeatability of the positioning accuracy.
• Space-saving: The two-axis rotary table, ring-type tool magazine and bed are integrated, the triangular crossbeam is placed on the left and right side walls of the bed to move back and forth, the slide plate moves left and right along the crossbeam, and the main spindle box moves up and down along the slide plate, the integrated composite design saves space, so the machine tool obtains the maximum working area relative to the floor space.

It is suitable for the machining of impeller, blade, marine propeller, heavy-duty generator rotor, turbine rotor, crankshaft of large diesel engine and other multi-plane and space surface machining parts, and the parts can be finished milling, boring, drilling, expanding, reaming, tapping and other multi-processes after one clamping.
